Being a better end-user

This is something new for me…I’m being an end-user…
Typically, whenever I want to do a website (I have had an online journal since 2000…and have made a number of sites since then) I would write my own software to run it. I figured that way it would work exactly as I wanted. The problem here of course is that once it works it’s “good enough” and nothing ever gets fixed…ever.

So instead, I’m going with outside technologies, and I’m going to love it.
So here, I setup a Wordpress-powered blog.
I signed up for a twitter account (link, or you can see it on the page here)
I signed up for a flickr account (link)

So now, I’m going to see if using other peoples’ technology leads me to more updates, since it involves less coding.

I suppose I should have written up a “who am I” style post before this one, but this is a sensible first post I think…who I am and what I’ll be writing about can come next…
